“Fear No Mirror”

As February comes to an end, and spring is on the way, thoughts of bathing suits and short shorts begin to scramble our brains. How did we lose sight of our bodies? Where did these “love handles” come from? The answer, of course, is fat cells! Even those of us who are the right weight for our height and age, see a person who needs to lose weight (or at least inches) when seeing our reflection in the mirror. We can diet ! We can have surgical procedures! There are countless ways to look thinner, but most of them are time-consuming and expensive. Who wants to be laid up for days waiting for your body to get back to some normalcy? No one that I know!

Today, I went to Oakbrook Terrace to see a demo of a newer technique Coolsculpting. This is a program that eliminates stubborn fat with: NO PAIN   NO DOWNTIMEbeforeAfter(2)

I was at the offices of Dr. Stanley Kovak-   Kovak Dermatology and Laser Institute. This is a well established medical doctor, who has himself experienced the process. Today, they held a seminar with many guests who came out (on a snowy, bundle-up morning) to see what this is all about. When we arrived and signed in, we were witness to one of his staff, sitting in the lobby, with the machinery doing its work. While Sandra sat there, the Doc spoke with us about the way the program/procedure works. She appeared to be at ease during all this and after the hour was up, a two minute massage and viola, back to work! No pain, but in this case a gain, or should I say, a loss of fat cells- sheer perfection for what we are seeking.

CoolSculpting® is a revolutionary non-surgical contouring treatment that freezes stubborn fat, which then is naturally eliminated from your body. No needles, no special diets, no supplements, no surgery. And most importantly, no downtime. The cost depends on the number of procedures and they do have programs that will allow for easier terms.drkovak-edit

Dr. Kovak explained to the attentive audience how the procedure works. One of the Docs or registered nurses consults with each patient ( male or female) to find what it is they wish to eliminate or reduce. In this way, they can decide together the number of applications/procedures will be needed to accomplish the job. The beauty of this procedure over others is that there is no downtime and the procedures can be done in steps. I know people who have had Liposuction and were in pain for days ( one for weeks). I saw for myself that  Sandy was able to pop-up and resume her office responsibilities within minutes of the procedure. Just think, you can leave work for a lunch break and return an hour later slimmer and on your way to reaching the goal you have set- getting into those tight jeans or that bikini that you wore years ago!

The doctor explained to us that he himself had some “handles” and when he saw it work on him, he knew that this was what the doctor ordered for his patients. Take a look at his website and you will see some great before and after pictures. If you are looking for a way to see the real you in the mirror, not just results, but long term results, call for your initial consultation 630-758-0470
