Cabaret Comes to Millennium Park For The Holidays

Shelly MacArthur

While the weather outside is frightful, the cabaret at Millennium Park- "Cabaret With A View" promises to be delightful! Yes, Cabaret will be performed at Millennium Park in the winter. How? ,You may ask! It will be performed ON the stage of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and that is where you will sit as well.

While the weather outside is frightful, the cabaret at Millennium Park- “Cabaret With A View” promises to be delightful! Yes, Cabaret will be performed at Millennium Park in the winter. How? ,You may ask! It will be performed ON the stage of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion and that is where you will sit as well. They have doors that close, allowing for indoor productions to be performed ( staged readings, talks and now Cabaret) in a very intimate setting. This is also climate controlled, so you will be able to remove your winter coat, just sit back and relax as three special ladies present their one woman shows.

Hollis Resnik
Suzanne Petri

First on the bill, Suzanne Petri in “Celebrate the Holidasy With Marlene”  December 20th at 7:30 p.m. A one woman tribute to screen legend Marlene Dietrich that promises to send chills down your spine.

This will be followed by Hollis Resnik ( one of Chicago’s top stage performers who has wowed audiences with her work in both musical theater and comedy) who I have seen in the past- you will not want to mss this one. She will be in the smae location on Monday, January 24tth and on Monday, February 14th, Shelly MacArthur takes the stage. Being Valentine’s day, one migt expect some pretty romatic music.

“Cabaret With A View” is brought to Millennium by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and is presented in the Pritzker bandshell located just South of Randolph and just East of Michigan Avenue ( right behind the Harris Theater). Tickets for these extraordinary concert performances are onlt $15 ( probably the best deal of the year) and can be purchased by calling 312-742-TIXS (8497) or by visiting www.millenniumpark.org or ww.dcatheater.org
