The purpose of this new series is to establish a relationship with young people so they can build the audience of the future. In doing “Moniquilla” they are presenting a story that will involve the younger members of the audience, allowing them to feel comfortable with the theater of dance. This one hour show choreographed by Gustavo Ramirez Sansano ( Artistic Director of Luna Negra), the main characters have to solve a mystery puzzle- all the children of the world have lost the ability to laugh, but no one knows how this happened. During this adventure story filled with flying pendulums, jungle spies, bursting water baloons and other obstacles, our dancers and audience members work together to solve this problem. Yes, the children of the audience help to bring the answers to be. This sounds like a great way to initiate the love of  theater through dance for our young audiences and for families that are not regular theater or dance audiences.
