News at The Venue ( Horseshoe in Hammond)

Many of us forget that we have a “little bit of Vegas” right in our own back yard. The fabulous VENUE located at The Horseshoe Casino in nearby Hammond ( just over the state line) offers us a myriad of shows- shows for every taste. A few highlights that will give you an idea of the  types of entertainment coming up:

Kelly Clarkson, the first American Idol and still going strong along with Matt Nathanson will appear Saturday, March 10th at 7 p.m.. The Venue is a great spot for a concert like this with great sight lines, near perfect sound and a feeling as if you are on a visit to Las Vegas.

A week later, you can go back in time with two of my favorites- Cheech and Chong will take the stage with their “Get it Legal” show at 7:30 p.m.. For those of you, this will be a “trip” down memory lane and for those who have never experienced this dynamic duo, you are in for a treat.

As long as we are “tripping” down memory lane, how about Tuesday, April 24th, where the musical icon Diana Ross takes the stage at The Venue . Many of us recall her days with The Supremes, but found that as a solo she excelled. 18 Number 1 hits- wow!

These are just a sampling of what is in store fro you when you head over to Hammond- there is also some great dining, free parking and one of the most exciting casinos in the country. These are shows that are sure to sell out, so I suggest you visit www.horseshoehammond.com
